John Edwards just announced his health care plan via video and dvds in Iowa – he’s pitching “universal” coverage. The other Democrats will also offer similar plans where the government becomes the ultimate insurer of last resort and employers are required to offer some coverage. The Republicans on the other hand are sure to offer “market driven” solutions where the government will incentivize individuals to buy coverage and employers to provide it.
